In2uni
Coniston Public School’s year 6 students received the opportunity to participate in the In2uni program, 2019. This day enabled the students to get a taste of uni life. The experience was inspirational to future prospective students. The day included hands-on experiments that brought out people's creativity, allowing them to have a brighter look at the uni experience. The students were able to participate in a physics workshop where they were able to use their engineering skills. The students used pre-made catapults and experimented to cast their marshmallows the furthest. “The In2uni program was a great chance to decide whether or not they wanted to go to uni. It helped me by giving a visual representation of the university life. It was encouraging and made me want to strive for my future.” -Saffron. Year 6, 2019. The program was very welcome to suggestions and feedback and accepted responses from a broad range of schools. They provided the students with a survey to see what each individual thought of the program.
